Please join us in honoring retiring Teaching Professor Virginia Peterson by contributing to a retirement gift for her: a scholarship fund in her name.

Your contribution will have a doubled effect because an anonymous donor has pledged to match, dollar for dollar, the first $10,000 contributed.
Virginia Peterson will be retiring this summer after 31 years with the University of Missouri. She has been tireless in teaching and advising our undergraduate students. For many students, she is the face of Biochemistry and has been a major contributor to the excellent reputation Biochemistry has in the College and across the campus for caring about students.
The "Virginia E. Peterson Scholarship in Biochemistry" will honor her dedication to educating and guiding undergraduate students. It will fund one or more annual scholarships to a sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the Biochemistry B.S. degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale. As defined by institutional guidelines, the scholarship will be permanently endowed once donations reach $25,000.
We hope to reach this amount rapidly with gifts from Virginia's many colleagues, friends and former students.
