The honors program in biochemistry gives outstanding students greater academic flexibility and more possibilities for hands-on research experiences. To qualify for the program, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher after 30 or more credit hours at MU. To graduate with department honors in biochemistry, a student must maintain a GPA of 3.3 or higher and complete a senior thesis.
The MU Honors College offers the top 15 percent of Mizzou’s undergraduate students specialized courses and academic opportunities, with the option of earning an honors certificate after 20 hours of honors coursework.
