Research and internship opportunities
With more than 40 faculty researchers, MU’s biochemistry program offers undergraduates multiple opportunities for hands-on research. Biochemistry ranks among the top academic units at MU in attracting research grant funds, and researchers here have access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative opportunities with other departments.
Through MU Undergraduate Research, students can get involved with research programs, internships and conferences and even announce their awards, publications and accomplishments. Students can become Undergraduate Research Ambassadors who represent the University at functions throughout the year.
Undergraduate biochemistry students can apply for research opportunities and lab-assistant jobs.
Internships
Students can apply for off-campus internships and for part-time jobs as lab technicians, during which which they hone their skills in biochemistry research.
Internship opportunities include the Life Science Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, CAFNR Undergraduate On-campus Research Internships, and external programs in industry.
